HISTORY OF SHASHA LOGISTICS
Shasha Logistics is the Transport and Logistics Strategic Business Unit (SBU) under Shasha Tobacco (Pvt) Limited. Having been established in 2012 with the aim of providing a “One Stop Shop” transport and logistics services for FCV tobacco contract growers’ needs with respect to the distribution of crop production inputs and tobacco bale collection, the SBU moved into the transportation of general goods and cargo in the open market. Shasha Logistics has participated in various logistics business opportunities that exist in the economy including transportation of:
• Green and dry tobacco to various destinations
• Agricultural, mining and industrial products and cargo;
• In the 2019-20 season, for instance, Shasha Logistics distributed more than 5,000 tons of fertilizer and chemicals and about 3,000 tons of coal;
• Shasha also collected more than 50,000 bales during the 2020 tobacco selling season.

FLEET DETAILS
• The SBU owns a modern fleet of trucks which are reliable with adequate insurance cover. The trucks are driven by carefully selected, well trained drivers with many years of experience.
• Shasha Logistics can provide you with trucks to transport both Northbound (Zambia and DRC) and Southbound (South Africa) cargo on request. Besides transporting cross border loads into Africa. We also do local loads ranging from 8 metric tons to 34 metric tons into all provinces of Zimbabwe.
• All our trucks are covered by Goods In Transit Insurance. Our Goods In Transit Insurance is tailor made to suit different operations and therefore covers the cargo we transport for our clients. We value your cargo and provide you with peace of mind while your cargo is in our hands.
• All our trucks are equipped with state of the art satellite tracking systems installed and managed by EAZYTRACK, one of the best tracking service provider in Zimbabwe.
This system allows us to monitor our trucks as well as your cargo while it is in transit. We can then give you accurate information about the location of your cargo at any given time, also ensuring the safety of your cargo in transit. • Fidelity Guarantee (FGI) Insurance – Covers losses due to employee negligence or fraudulent activities, and the insurance is to the value of USD5,000.00.
• Our fleet currently consists of:
– Seven (30 – 34) tonne trucks.
– Four 8 tonne trucks.
– Three 10 tonne trucks.
– One 7 tonne truck.
